    1. The only way I could see this being true is if there is a requirement to set the power on a portable to something else other than 1or 5W(4W).

  2. Hi Wayne , from which pins of DM4601 I can take PTT-out . In Analog radio will be easy from CSQ pin but with Digital radio I don't thing this can work ?
The reason I need that signal is to key-up another device which has PTT-in ( Input ) .
    Thanks

    1. Check the Installation Manual. In the CPS you can assign a CSQ PL/TG output on one of the GPIOs.

Is it the same with MTR3000 , as it has two time slots ? is the audio will route to both time slots or one at time ?

    1. The MTR3000 does not present audio externally in digital mode. PL/TG detect could be used to key up another device.

  5. The answer regarding gain values is wrong. Converting dBd to dBi adds 2.15dB, not 3.3dB as stated.

    1. I checked and you are correct. It seems the book I was referencing is incorrect. Thanks for pointing that out :-) http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DBi#Antenna_measurements
