  1. It is now more powerful than a Dimetra Scalable which can only have up to 100 sites per Zone... maybe next releases will consider joining cap max into "zones"?

    1. Actually the opposite is true. DIPS is more feature rich than DMR Tier 3 (and Capacity Max). The only advantage I see, is site density/coverage (5W vs. 1,8W portables).

  2. Hi Wayne,

Firstly, Many thanks for all your support. secondly I have two questions for you if you don't mind:-

    1) I DIPS, there's a security partitioning, so we can make to user admins, each can manage his own resources (sites, TGs, ISSI, ...) without any access from the other user. Is that possible in LCP or Capacity MAX or any other DMR system?

    2) In DIPS, there're a lot of encryption keys (SCK,CCK,DCK,GCK, ... ) and some keys are changeable automatic after specified time if required and all that makes DIPS has very high encryption. So what about LCP or Capacity MAX. Do we have that complex or just straight forward with the enabled encryption key without any change by time from the manager?

    1. The short answer is no.

      The longer answer is...

DMR is not (and should never be compared to) TETRA. DMR is intended for commercial and industrial users whereas TETRA was primarily designed for Public Safety.

Capacity Max does not support agency partitioning - it is not required by the intended users.
Capacity Max supports Payload Encryption. The highest encryption level is 256bit AES but this is not FIPS140-2 compliant. It is possible to entrails manage and regularly update keys. The level/sophistication of encryption in TETRA way exceeds the needs of the average Capacity Max system operator.

    3. I apologize, there were some errors in my reply, the last paragraph should have read:

"Capacity Max supports Payload Encryption. The highest encryption level is 256bit AES but this has not undergone FIPS140-2 compliance testing. It is possible to manage and regularly update keys in Capacity Max/Plus.
The level/sophistication of encryption in TETRA way exceeds the needs of the average Capacity Max system operator."

  3. Hi Wayne,

Could you tell me the access time for channel in MS Capacity Plus and Capacity Max Systems? For both Individual and Group Calls.

    Thanks.
