What does the flashing yellow LED mean?
All MOTOTRBO radios share the same ergonomic in terms of what the LED does - both with or without display and both mobile and portable. As far as I can remember, even older (pre-MOTOTRBO radios) followed this same design rule.
The radio has a tri-colour LED which can either give a permanent or flashing indication as follows:
* Two flashes followed by a short pause means a codeplug error. Three flashes followed by a pause means something to do with the PLL/RF stages. Just continuous flashing means something to do with hardware.
** A flashing green LED could be caused by on-channel traffic in a conventional system. This on-channel traffic could be coming from an interferer (analogue system or DMR system with different colour code/ RAS/keys) or from another user on another talkgroup.
