AI and I

NotebookLM is an AI-powered research and note-taking tool from Google designed to help users synthesize information from specific sources they provide. Unlike standard AI chatbots that draw from the entire internet, NotebookLM acts as a personalized AI collaborator that is strictly grounded in the documents the user uploads, significantly reducing the risk of AI-slop.

Apart from supporting chat, it can also generate things like podcasts and videos. Above is an example of an audio overview I created which goes through the voice, control and data services offered by MOTOTRBO. The tool can also produde slides, diagrams and a video overview. When listened on NotebookLM, it is interactive, you can ask the speakers questions and they'll respond. The tool also supports many languages: here is a similar audio overview I created in Albanian (using an English prompt).

I've been testing it over the last few months and so far the information is pretty accurate.

Here is a link to the Notebook I used to create the audio overviews. Although publicly available, due to computing restrictions, you will only be able to ask questions and get answers via chat. If you want to use the more advanced features, you can either roll your own or request access via the above contact form (you will need a Google [gmail.com] account for this).

Click this link, ask a question about MOTOTRBO and see how good the answers are.

PS. Now before my colleagues and management get all IP01-excited, the above notebook was created using my private account using publicly available sources.
