MOTOTRBO and the Honeywell Safety Suite means better worker safety
MOTOTRBO radios with Bluetooth 4.x functionality support Honeywell Gas Detectors. This feature can be used to send alerts to the Honeywell Safety Suite application. The alerts can be abnormal levels of gases, mandown, panic-button and location information. The radio and system supports up to four gas sensor alerts from a single Honeywell Gas Detector device.
Each worker has a personal gas detector and two-way radio. With the Connected Safety Solution, one can connect the gas detectors to the radio via Bluetooth. Once connected, real time monitoring of the gas detector readings are sent via the radio network to the Honeywell Safety Suite.
The Honeywell Safety Suite is an integrated software solution that displays the location and sensor status for radio users on the system in real-time. The Honeywell Safety Suite can display real-time instrument readings; worker location; on-screen alarms and alerts; automated text and email notifications as well as plume modeling for hazardous gases.
In the Connected Safety Suite, users can be grouped together. In the event of a hazardous situation, information and instructions can be sent to all group members.
For example, if one worker’s gas detector detects a hazardous gas and goes into alarm mode, the system can deliver that alarm to all members of a safety team monitoring the situation.
The safety team can in turn broadcast a message to either assist or evacuate the team. The group receives the communication on their radio instructing them of the potential danger and how to respond.
