Select-5 on the SL1600

As of R2.8.0, it is possible to enable Select-5 signalling in the SL1600. This is an analogue signaling format that is widely used to identify a transmitting radio (also known as PTT-ID); selective calling (alerting a single radio); emergency etc.

Using this feature it is also possible to make the radio generate a short 1750Hz tone (tone burst) - that would be used to access a repeater system.

To enable Select-5, you need to upgrade to the latest firmware then purchase and activate the HKVN4058 licence. This feature may not be available in all regions.
