Oh, I didn't know that: Repeater status via a web browser

Screenshot from one of my YouTube videos showing what you can see.

Using a web browser, it's possible to get status; control and error information from any SLR series repeater with R2.9.0 firmware.

How?

Connect your PC to the same network as the repeaters and make sure you're in the same subnet etc. Open your browser and type in https://nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn (where n is the repeters IP address). You're then asked to provide a username and password - the username is motorola and the password is the repeaters serial number.

What?

I'm not 100% sure but I think this will work with R2.8.x firmware. It probably wont work with 8MB DR3000s (a.k.a. XPR8300 in North America).

Previously I was under the impression that this would only work if the repeatr was in a Capacity Max system - well, that's not the case.

This is really a useful diagnostic tool:

- Opening the webpage means that you have IP connectivity to the repeater.
- If the page loads slowly, there might be an issue with the link speed.
- If there are any errors, these are shown here.
- No need for RDAC unless you want to get alarms by email or do other stuff.
- Works on almost any browser (at least on Chrome; Firefox and Edge).
