New MOTOTRBO firmware CPS and RM

The software release naming convention for MOTOTRBO will be changing. From now on, releases for Astro; TETRA and MOTOTRBO (as well as Broadband I think) will follow the same naming convention: MYYYY.NN. Radios shipping this month from the factory will have the firmware related to this release.

To get M2020.01, the equipment (i.e. radios repeaters) will either need to be under warranty or be covered by a software maintenance agreement. For a complete listing of firmware versions (and those going back as far as 2013), see my software versions list.

I have a few posts lined up which will describe the new features introduced with this release. There is a new version of CPS2 and Radio Management, both of which I haven't test-driven yet (at the time of writing this post).

If you work for a Channel Partner; are a direct customer of Motorola and can't to see what's new in M2020.01, have a look at the update training course PCT0124.
