With all the talk about it, I thought I'd ask ChatGPT what MOTOTRBO is and got the following answer:

MOTOTRBO is a digital two-way radio communication system developed by Motorola Solutions, a leading provider of mission-critical communication products and services. It is designed to provide reliable and efficient communication for organizations that require instant and secure voice and data communication between teams, departments, and individuals.

MOTOTRBO radios use digital technology, which enables them to transmit and receive clearer, more reliable audio signals over a greater range than analog radios. The system also supports data applications, such as text messaging, GPS location tracking, and work order management, allowing for more efficient and effective communication and coordination.

MOTOTRBO can be customized to meet the specific needs of various industries, including manufacturing, transportation, public safety, utilities, and hospitality. It is also scalable, making it easy to expand as a business grows or as communication needs change.

I would give this answer a 9 out of 10. Why? One point gets deduced for the following statement "over a greater range than analog radios."
While MOTOTRBO radios will certainly provide better reception at the fringes of the coverage area, the technology will certainly not make a signal travel further so the greater range statement is misleading in my assessment.

Current MOTOTRBO radios have better sensitivity than their analogue ancestors and this will contribute to an improvement in coverage when compared side by side. For example, the GP300 had a sensitivity of -120dBm (12dB SINAD) whereas the R7 has -123dBm for 5% BER - in linear terms that's double the sensitivity!
Also the forward error correction, built into the vocoding technique used in DMR, will result in good perceived audio quality right up to the edge of the coverage area, as illustrated in the below diagram.
