Is there a way to Factory Reset a SLR5500 Repeater?

[Q]
Is there a way to Factory Reset a SLR5500 Repeater or is there a initial CPS2 program available to download VHF.

[A] Yes, there are a few ways, I wrote a blog post about factory resetting a DM4601e using CPS, a while back. The procedure to do the same on a SLR5500 is exactly the same. As with the the DM4601e, make sure you don't lose power while the recovery process is underway, or else you'll brick the modem board.

Additionally, you can also factory reset a repeater using Telnet and the programming cable (this only works when connected via USB and only on the SLR repeaters).
Connect to the repeater using port 8501. To make sure you are connected, enter ver . This will display the firmware version and some other software-related information.
To reset the repeater, enter reset_web_credentials. Once the reset is completed, the repeater will reboot and start up again with its default configuration.

As a side-note, Telnet is a built-in feature in Windows (needs to be enabled in features). I prefer to use PuTTY since it does other stuff I need.

There is nothing like an initial CPS2 program to download but you can load a known good codeplug thus overwriting any existing configuration data.
