A small change ...

There was a change in M2024.02 (R02.24.02.1002) that affected the way call information is displayed on the R7.

Prior to M2024.02, the radio would display the Talkgroup Number/Alias on the third line for 2 seconds and then would switch to the Contact ID/Alias of the transmitting radio. The trouble is that if the received call is less than 2 seconds or the transmitting user doesn't speak, the receiving radio users have no way of knowing who that was.

With M2024.02, the radio will instead immediately display both the Talkgroup Number/Alias and Contact ID/Alias. In the above video, Talkgroup 1 is the name of the talkgroup, 2626054 is the transmitting radio's ID and 433.5500 is the name of the channel (which is in Zone 1). 

Also, the transmitting radio will instead show the transmit Call Group ID and Status (talking) on the home screen when PTT is pressed.
