Backup your password
I've had a few people ask whether it's possible to retrieve a forgotten password, either from Radio Management, or from an individual radio codeplug. The short answer is that there's no way for customers to do get the password from a radio - but the Radio Management access password can be reset from the Radio Management Server Utility.
In the case of radio codeplugs, the solution is: prevention is better than the cure.
My suggestion would be to record non-personal passwords (e.g. like the ones you'd use on codeplugs) on a piece of paper; inside a sealed envelope, kept somewhere safe. This may seem like a Luddite solution which wouldn't pass the IT test of data security so you'd have to decide whether this suits your organisation's circumstances.
Another option would be to use an online password manager. Just make sure that more than one person has access to this - things happen and it's possible that even the password to the online tool could also be lost.
Other bits of configuration data you may want to store elsewhere are the RAS key and/or OTAP key (if used), since these are write-only. For this, my suggestions would be to consider something like Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive and saving a Document there with this sort of information.
Whatever you choose, this should work for your and provide sufficient security.
In the past, it was possible to sniff IP packets between the radio and PC - that was addressed some time ago and it's not been possible to do this since R2.3
