What does All Call do?

All Call sets up a one-way call to all users on the channel or system. This allows a supervisor or dispatcher to instantly make an announcement to all users on the channel or system.

What it doesHow it benefits users
👉 Press PTT and transmit to all users at once.
👉 Quickly speak to everyone on the channel or  system.

👉 Useful for evacuation orders or all points bulletins.

👉 Works well with Transmit Interrupt.

On conventional and IPSC systems, All Call goes out to all radios on the channel (slot) – so users on other channels (slots) will miss the call. One way to avoid this, is to have a Patch set up on the Dispatch PC that allows the operator to transmit the All Call on all channels.

On Capacity Plus and Capacity Max systems, All Call goes out to every radio user that is not currently transmitting.

Since this feature is so powerful it is recommended to only give this functionality to select users who know how to use this responsibly. Also, in IP Site Connect and Capacity Plus systems, it would be useful to also configure all radios to allow transmit interrupt - this permits the transmitting radio to disrupt an ongoing transmission from another user thereby freeing the channel for the All Call.
