New radio: R2

The R2 was introduced last week in the EMEA region. This will eventually replace the DP1400  but both models will be available for a while I think. The R2 includes several enhancements over the DP1400.

64 channel capacity allows you to configure four times more channels and/or talkgroups into the radio. This allows for more flexibility and expansion capabilites.

Better sensitivity (0,16µV for 5% BER) means better overall coverage and clearer signals in fringe areas.

Louder (101 phon) audio and User-selectable Audio Profiles mean you can hear the radio better in noisy environments. This helps to ensure a call is never missed.

Testing against eleven of the MIL STD 810 criteria ensures that the R2 is even more rugged and reliable than most portable radios in its class.

The radio supports conventional; IP Site Connect and the ability to optionally support a two-channel Capacity Plus system configuration if needed.
Like the DP1400, there is also a analogue-only model that can be upgraded to support analogue and digital at a later date.

The radio uses the same accessories and programming cable as the DP1400. It uses the same chanrger but the batteries are different. There is also a retaining clip available for the audio accessory jack which heps to keep the cable plugged in when the cable is tugged.

Here is the (EMEA) product datasheet and a listing of some of the accessories. If there is something I've missed, I'll add it in the comments.
