MOTOTRBO: Exit Broadcast Call Enhancement in R2.10.5
As of R2.10.5, a MOTOTRBO radio operating on a Capacity Max system can exit Broadcast Calls to monitor important talkgroup calls.
Normally, if the radio user presses the PTT, when receiving a talkgroup call*, the radio will either:
- Transmit to the received talkgroup if talkback is enabled.
- Transmit to the talkgroup defined in the TX Contact, if talkback is disabled.
Prior to R2.10.5, if a Broadcast call was being received and the user pressed PTT, the radio would give a call failed alert and the radio would not transmit.
Now, with talkback is enabled, the radio will transmit to the talkgroup defined in the TX Contact, when receiving a Broadcast Call.
With Capacity Max it is possible to use Priority Monitor to monitor important Talkgroups. The system operator can set a Talkgroup as Priority and the radio will exit Broadcast calls to go to Priority Talkgroups.
* An inbound call from a Group ID listed in the currently selected RX Group List.
